Mise-en-scene is affectively used as the character in my image is shown as a mysterious figure in the dark. Character blocking is important as the character aims to casually stand on his own whilst staring at the camera. His white face connotes violence, as this is not his real face and so we get the notion he is trying to disguise himself so that we are unable to identify him. I attempted to re-create the 'ghost face' from the Scream series, as the killer in that film is often seen haunting the teenagers in the film whilst watching from a distance, contacting them on their phones. The clothing my character is wearing is very important in the image as it is seen, he is wearing a black hoody, black jeans and black shoes. This enables the character to be invisible in the dark, although I had the flash on so that we would be able to actually see the character, he would be invisible in the dark and we would only be able to see his white face. It is hard to see where the shot is being taken from, I used an extra long shot in order to make my character look more mysterious from a distance. If this was used in a clip/movie, an enigma would have formed, as the audience asks questions such as 'who is this mysterious character? why is he watching from a distance? what is he trying to hide?'.
